The Day of Small Things is dedicated to exploring what it means to be effective and fruitful ‘in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ’ (2 Peter 1:8).
“The Day of Small Things” is a reference to Zechariah 4:10, where God promises:
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.”
One of the easy traps to fall into as a Christian is to assume that God is going to work in our lives in big and miraculous ways all the time. We don’t think that he’ll work through the ordinary, the mundane, or the unspectacular.
This site is dedicated to exploring the loving, atoning, forgiving, and strengthening work of Jesus expressed in ordinary ways.
